Dr. Ann Lara is the Associate Director of the Career Center at the California State University, San Bernardino, and Palm Desert Campuses. They have been in Higher Education since 2004, with roles in teacher education programs, hospitality, and general career services. Their specialty is employer relations, career development, and concierge-level services for employers. Additionally, they have over a decade of experience teaching career development courses to university students. A recent graduate from the Educational Leadership Ed.D program at Cal Poly Pomona, their research interests focuses on underemployment, specifically, the personal factors, student learning experiences, and engagement that lead to student career goal selection. They also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Education: Career and Technical Education, Counseling Track from Cal State San Bernardino.
