2023 CULINARY COMPETITION RECAP
Battle of the Modern Bartender Competition came to life at the California Restaurant Show. Our creative bartender contestants battled it out to see who has the best whiskey cocktail.
Bartenders competed live at the NEW Culinary Innovation Theatre. The 2023 competition was sponsored by Savage & Cooke Distillery with the bartenders using Cask Finished Rye Whiskey.
The winner received a trophy and a trip to the Savage & Cooke Distillery, which included airfare, 2-night accommodation in Napa, a tour of the distillery and a meet & greet with the master distiller.
2023 WINNER: RAMON RODRIGUEZ
The 2023 Rapid Fire Challenge theme was HOT SANDWICH & A SIDE. Chefs were invited to prepare their favorite dishes 'between the bread' plus a side dish. Demonstrations focused on taste, presentation, cooking within a time limit and creativity.
The winner was crowned California Restaurant Show's Rapid Fire Champion, received $1,000, bragging rights and a trophy.
